System Engineer, Senior Tester

Description
Provide system engineering support services for NGI requirements development, design development, integration, test and transition.
Provides technical support to the NGI Program Office with a focus on testing, requirements and specifications. Provides technical expertise in unit, factory and system acceptance testing. Provides the ability to write test procedures and test plans.

Tests software releases during the product development.

Reports test results and enters problems and issues into the problem report tracking database. Monitors and updates bug reports as needed including problem closure.

Provides technical expertise on specific products, most notably, experience with Rational tools preferred.

Writes or assists in the development of test plans and test procedures.

Completes assigned test-related tasks.

Assists in the automation of relevant test procedures.

Assists in review of test processes as they are developed.

Ability to trace requirements from the requirement source to the actual test procedure and test step.
Requirements
Experience in testing computer software 5 y
Experience with Rational product suite 3 y
Knowledge and/or experience with automated testing tools 5y
Knowledge in unit, factory, and system acceptance testing practices 5y
