Description
A Basic Program Management Specialist (BPMS) should be experienced in project management and preferably has a Project Management Institute’s (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) credential or equivalent certification to assist in meeting Task Order Statement of Work’s objectives.
BPMSs are responsible for providing assistance to the Government on projects. They must be capable of performing a wide range of project management functions on behalf of the Government. This includes maintaining project documentation, evaluating earned value management (EVM) performance, managing budgets through the OMB 300 process, and facilitating the transition of programs from the development phase to the maintenance phase. In addition, BPMSAs are responsible for some administrative functions such as reporting and project communications.
Assess risks to program and projects associated with the program.
Develop strategies to minimize their likelihood or impact.
Evaluate opportunities that could be exploited to the program's benefit to include internal recommendations as well as changes or improvements in industry common practices.
Requirements
Must have general program management skills and be willing to be responsible for the risk management program of NGI.
