The FBI Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Division requires expertise in Law Enforcement Liaison support services for the N-DEx program. N-DEx is a FBI system that provides support to criminal investigations and analysts by electronically storing and making available unstructured and image data. It includes capabilities for storage, analysis, reporting, audit, secure communications, and operational support. N-DEx supports the federal law enforcement investigators and analysts with functionality including search and retrieval, link analysis, and geospatial analysis.

The overarching goal of N-DEx is to provide users with capabilities to view, search, retrieve, share, and protect information from multiple Criminal Justice Agency data sources in support of investigative activities. This endeavor will build upon current efforts, by exploiting lessons learned and identifying common solutions to meet the diverse needs of information sharing for the law enforcement community.

Perform liaison responsibilities for the FBI by communicating and collaborating with law enforcement agencies (LEAs) to establish and maintain mutual cooperation as well as establish shared objectives and organizational goals.

Produce status reports, prepare presentations, and present them to LEAs.

Conduct organizational and process analysis, utilizing qualitative and quantitative analysis tools and techniques.

Perform training by giving presentations or provide one-on-one support for law enforcement personnel.

Coordinate efforts with states/systems and monitor the progress of their certification training.

Maintain records of how many certified active users there are at any one time.

Assist each state/system in developing their deployment and training plans for future users.

Act as facilitator and event coordinator for training, training-related activities, and management seminars as required to include, but not limited to executive conferences and other work-related functions.

Provide facilities and conference support services for conferences, training events, meetings, and reviews.

Assist in reviewing and analyzing project schedules and shall assist the FBI with developing project schedules. Review and analysis shall include: scheduling techniques such as task identification, resource identification and usage, base lining, task status updating, schedule progression, resource leveling, etc.

Develop and report performance and schedule effectiveness metrics using MS Office Suite, MS Access, and possibly VBA.
