Description

Ensures the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information systems, networks, and data through the planning, analysis, development, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of information systems security programs, policies, procedures, and tools.

Demonstrated knowledge of information technology principles, methods, and security regulations and policies to administer various information security programs.

Promotes awareness of security issues among management.

Ensures sound security principles are implemented to assure protection of information transmitted to the organization and from the organization to the local or wide area networks, the World Wide Web, or other communication nodes to other agencies, contractors, and partners.

Conducts risk assessments to identify possible security violations.

Demonstrates knowledge of FBI, DOJ, NIST, and DOD and industry standard IT principles, methods, security regulations, policies, procedures for information systems, Federal System Accreditation.

Experienced in security policies, procedures, guidelines, and recommendations.
