Responsible for all aspects of managing a small IT company including hiring, firing, developing processes and policies, employee reviews, business development, and training, among others. Directly support the FBI's Next Generation Identification (NGI) Program by providing verification and validation services to the NGI Program Office. Serve as FBI QA Representative for FAT/SAT activities for NGI.
Director
As Director of Identity Management Solutions Group, responsible for all aspects of leading the group in support of GST’s biometrics initiatives, products, and contracts. As Director of Standards and Support, manage multiple departments and activities that support an $25M/year computer-engineering corporation. Specific departments and activities directed include: process improvement/quality assurance, metrics, documentation, and test. Led the successful implementation of a CMMI effort that achieved a CMMI Level-2 rating May 2005; CMMI Level-3 in August 2007. Metrics activities include: performing earned value analysis, developing and managing spend-plans and budgets; performing engineering metrics and analysis to ascertain software productivity and quality. Manage the development, editing and quality assurance of all project deliverables across multiple federal projects. Lead the computer-testing department to perform unit and functional testing. As Technical Director, acted as the senior technical lead on two NASA software projects in support of NASA’s IV&V facility. Original author of NASA grant effort that has grown from $80K to $800K in two years. Previously served as Biometrics Laboratory Technical Director, leading independent biometric device testing efforts. Serve as Facility Security Officer (FSO).
Senior Engineer - Systems / Consultant
Responsible for developing an electronic interface with foreign-government customs offices using Oracle in support of the United States Transportation Command. Responsible for developing business-engineering studies for the Department of Defense in support of defense logistics projects; methodology included business process reeingineering and business case studies utilizing standard government modeling techniques. Designed, developed, and managed delivery of required documentation for a Navy software research and development project. Performed marketing and proposal development activities.
